Pacman & Ella

Hi, I’m Holly, owner of Harmony Home & Pet Care. I’m a licensed, bonded, and insured professional pet sitter with over 30 years of hands-on animal experience, including extensive work in both general and emergency veterinary settings. Caring for animals has been my life’s work, not a side hustle. I’m often described as a dog whisperer or animal empath, and that comes from a lifetime of paying close attention. I instinctively read animal body language and tend to sense shifts in behavior before they happen. Dogs are my greatest passion, but I share a deep respect and connection with all animals, including cats, birds, fish, and exotic pets. I specialize in calm, attentive, in-home care for pets who do best in their own environment. Whether your pet needs companionship, medication administration, mobility support, or experienced observation, I bring a steady, knowledgeable presence into your home. This is especially important for senior pets, anxious animals, and those with medical or complex care needs. My professional background includes: • General and emergency veterinary experience • Certified pet sitting and animal care training • Accredited professional dog training and behavior awareness • Experience with senior pets, special needs pets, and complex routines In addition to my veterinary and pet care background, I have owned and successfully operated a boarding, training, and daycare business. I’ve worked closely with veterinarians, technicians, and pet parents in fast-paced hospital and specialty environments, building long-standing, trust-based relationships. Alongside pet and home care, I also offer organizing and decluttering support. I have a natural eye for creating calm, functional spaces and enjoy helping clients bring order and ease back into their homes. Whether assisting with light organizing, sorting, packing, or decluttering during life transitions, my approach is always practical, respectful, and non-judgmental. My education and certifications include Animal CPR and First Aid, Canine Cognition and Psychology, Animal Reiki, and ongoing professional development in animal behavior and care. Just as important to me is discretion. I take confidentiality seriously, maintain a thorough background check, and provide strong references for your peace of mind. I am fully bonded and insured and committed to clear communication, reliability, and professionalism. When you hire me, you are inviting someone into your home who treats your pets, your space, and your trust with genuine respect. I don’t believe pets are “just animals,” and your home is never “just a house.” Both are central to your daily life, your comfort, and your sense of security. My goal is to help you feel confident and at ease knowing everything at home is being cared for thoughtfully and responsibly. I invite you to fill out the contact form, call, or email to schedule a one-on-one meet and greet. I would love the opportunity to get to know you and ensure your pets and home receive the professional, attentive care they deserve. My promise to you is simple. I will care for your pets as if they were my own. Every decision I make is guided by one question: what would I do if this were my pet? And I act accordingly.

Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT IS YOUR POLICY ON KEYS, ACCESS, AND HOME ENTRY? I recommend providing two keys prior to the start of service. One key will be used for daily access, and the second will be kept securely on file as a backup. If you prefer that I leave your key inside the home on the final visit, please understand the risk involved. If your return is delayed or plans change, there would be no way for me to re-enter the home if needed. For this reason, leaving keys inside is not recommended. After your final visit, client keys may be: • Kept securely on file at no charge • Mailed back to you via certified mail with return receipt for a $25 fee If an additional trip is required at your request, such as returning keys or providing access outside of scheduled visits, a $25 fee will apply to cover time and travel. If a lockbox is used, please also provide a physical key. Florida weather, including rain and humidity, can occasionally cause lockboxes to malfunction. If a garage door remote is used, a physical key is still required. Power outages can render remotes unusable, and reliable access to your home is essential. For everyone’s safety, hide-a-keys are not permitted. They pose a security risk for you, your pets, and me.
HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE ENTERING THE HOME? For safety, consistency, and accountability, I require that I be the sole caregiver for your pets while you are away. While others may have the best intentions, they often do not have the training or experience to anticipate and prevent potential issues. Over the years, I have seen firsthand how well-meaning help can unintentionally create risk. With over 30 years of professional experience, this is a firm policy designed to protect your pets and your home. Housekeepers and maintenance personnel may be exceptions and will be discussed and approved in advance on a case-by-case basis.
PAYMENTS, SCHEDULING, CANCELLATIONS, AND HOLIDAY Payment for Daily and Overnight Services Full payment is required in advance to secure and confirm your booking. Services are not confirmed until payment has been received. Until payment is made, dates remain open and may be booked by another client. Accepted forms of payment include: Cash, Check, E-Check, PayPal, Zelle, and Apple Pay ———————— MINIMUM VISITS ———————— Cats require a minimum of one visit per day. Dogs require a minimum of two visits per day. ———————— LAST-MINUTE SCHEDULING ———————— For established clients, I will always make every reasonable effort to accommodate last-minute requests, especially in emergencies. For new clients, services cannot be booked without first completing an initial consultation and meet and greet. Please note that the consultation does not guarantee service availability. In short, I only accept clients who are previous training students or who have completed my consultation and registration process. Bookings are typically scheduled at least two weeks in advance, with payment due two weeks prior to service. Payments are non-refundable once the booking window has been secured. I believe in being transparent, consistent, and professional. When you expect the best, that is exactly what I provide. ———————— CANCELLATIONS ———————— A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations. Cancellation fees are as follows: • 20 percent of the total booking fee is non-refundable if canceled before the 24-hour cutoff • 40 percent is non-refundable if canceled within 24 hours • 100 percent is non-refundable if canceled within 12 hours If services are canceled after they have already begun, including early returns by the client, the full booking fee will be charged. ———————— HOLIDAYS ———————— Holiday surcharges apply as follows: • 50 percent surcharge for all daily services • 100 percent surcharge for all overnight services Holiday rates apply to services falling on: Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Thanksgiving, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and George Washington’s Birthday.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING A VISIT? Dog Walking...For safety, I walk one dog at a time. The only exception is dogs from the same household who walk well together. All dogs are walked on leash unless in a fully enclosed and secure area, and only with your prior approval. I encourage the use of front-clip harnesses, martingale collars, gentle leaders, or standard harnesses. Regular collars are acceptable, though I may recommend alternatives for strong pullers. Retractable leashes are not used. Weather conditions are closely monitored, and walk length may be adjusted for heat, rain, or wind. Your pets’ safety and comfort always come first. When outdoor time is limited, I use enrichment activities and mental exercises to keep them engaged and content indoors. ———————— DAILY VISITS AND PET SAFETY ———————— Pets are never left outside overnight. Daily visits are required unless otherwise agreed to in writing. Serious medical issues and household emergencies can develop quickly. Daily check-ins help prevent situations that could become costly, dangerous, or tragic. ———————— VISIT TIME WINDOWS ———————— To ensure efficiency and consistency, visits are scheduled within the following time windows unless overnight care is provided: Morning: 6:00 to 9:00 Midday: 11:00 to 2:00 Afternoon: 4:00 to 7:00 Evening: 9:00 to 11:00
EXTRA INFURMATION All dogs and cats must be microchipped and or wear a collar with identification, including a name and contact number. You will receive regular Pawgress Reports with updates and photos during your booking. For overnight stays, I provide my own food, supplies, and bedding. House-Sitting Rates are based on home size and level of responsibility. Live-in house sitting is ideal for pets, security, or frequent deliveries. Additional visits, specialized pet care, or added responsibilities may affect pricing. Holidays and peak travel periods may be subject to adjusted rates. Additional visits or services can be added if needed.
